This position requires an activist for transformation; it liaises between business stakeholders and IS and manages IS related projects from idea to delivery while implementing continuous process improvement, and creating and ensuring strategic alignment with other functional teams.

You will collaborate with business & IT leadership to establish and obtain consensus on project goal objectives and deliverables, determine the degree to which changes to scope, issues, and risks will affect projects, and gain agreement for resolution.

You’ll oversee projects, the project portfolio, issue tracking, escalation and follow up, develop high-level project plans, and develop and present business cases and program strategy that supports those cases.

You’ll direct the scope of the project management team, determine resource needs, ensure integration of projects and adjust project scope, timing and budgets as needed, and discuss program strategy, direction and changes with IT and business leadership.

Your measure will be budget variance to projected costs for IT, and customer satisfaction of IT business solutions.

You will support the Americas Region (U.S. and Canada), manage an annual CAPEX budget (up to $1m dollars), and have an indirect number of staff based on project load.

Your work hours will be demanding given you need to accommodate global resources and customer schedules. You will be working across multiple time zones, managing across multiple countries and cultures.

It is expected that you work autonomously while having limited access to your immediate manager (Regional Director).

You will manage, coordinate and leverage shared resources, experience tight time time-lines and budgets and can expect to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Business Operations, Finance or related field

• PMP certification desired

• Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, LEAN or ISO certifications desired

• 7+ years global business experience with demonstrated leadership, project management or managerial skills

• 5+ years experience in technical analysis, business analysis, work flow analysis, or process improvement

• 3+ years experience managing direct team members preferred

• Systems implementation or enhancement experience such as ERP, CRMs, or supply chain optimization

• Must have experience in CRM system implementation, upgrade, and enhancement

• Must be able to create system strategy and design to benefit from CRM and ERP systems to automate business processes

• Must be able to follow PMO methodology to deliver high quality results

• Must be able to improve Siebel and Call Center integration to accommodate on-going business process improvement

• Experience with large, high transactions systems

• Experience with multi-national organizations

• Experience with managing requests from a broad range of diverse and complex business units

Job Description
We are looking to hire a Project Lead/Project Manager for a 10 month engagement in NY City to work with the Business Intelligence team in support of multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

This role is responsible and accountable for the effective management and implementation of BI projects.

You will manage both operational and analytical BI projects with daily responsibilities of managing project resources, budget, deliverables, planning, tracking and reporting project status, identifying and managing issues to resolution and ensuring quality of deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end project management from project planning to the project roll-out of BI solutions

• Overall responsibility for the project plan, time-line and budget

• Manage project scope to achieve expected deliverables on time and within budget, and process change control when necessary

• Adapt project deliverables based on business requirements/new information as it becomes available during the project

• Responsible for executive and overall project status reporting

• Communicates with all levels of management and to all stakeholders

• Establishes a close partnership with key stakeholders which include internal clients and other IT application teams

• Participate in requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling – work with IT partners to design and implement BI solutions and tools

• Work with the Technical Lead on the design and development of operational and analytical reports

• Coordinate system, user, and stress testing

• Create controls to monitor progress

Requirements

• Strong project management skills, experience in SDLC, technical background preferred

• 4+ years experience as a Project Lead / Project Manager with 2+ years in the Business Intelligence space

• Experience managing and providing BI reporting and data solutions in operational and data warehousing environments

• Must be able to:

o Accommodate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

o Manage multiple concurrent projects

o Communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels

o Be a team player and be flexible

o Excel at establishing priorities and proactively setting direction or influencing the direction if the project or some part of it is not on track with overall objectives

o Demonstrate excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• You need the skills and experience at generating consensus and a shared vision and purpose

• Must be motivated, confident and a self-starter

• Requires a working understanding of database data modeling principals and data warehousing methodologies and associated reporting strategies

• Proficiency with Oracle SQL

• Experience with BI reporting tools – Business Objects preferred

We are looking to hire a Senior Business Objects Developer with experience developing analytical solutions for a fast-paced 6 month (estimate) project in NY City.

This is a fast-paced 6 month internet/web application project. Any experience working on similar fast-paced projects is a definite plus.

This is a senior technical and analytical position requiring hands-on capabilities while functioning autonomously with little supervision.

You will be responsible for developing reports, scorecards and dashboards using Business Objects.

You will actively participate in data modeling to develop and maintain effective BI data repositories including data marts and universes.

You must have solid experience creating advanced and complex Business Objects reports, and writing complex freehand SQL (Oracle preferred) for data validation and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BO experience in design and development of Universes and Reports.

• Experience with BO XI R2

• Experience developing scorecards and dashboards

• 2+ years experience writing complex SQL (Oracle highly preferred) to collect, analyze data, and test reports

• Experience gathering analytical requirements from clients

• Able to manage workload and work effectively with little supervision

• Solid ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
