Overview
This position requires an extensive and "true" BA background working on large complex applications which reach out and touch other applications across the enterprise. This BA role then includes experience looking at the different applications across the enterprise which are affected (being touched in some way) by current applications under development, and looking for overlaps, disconnects, etc. The idea here is that the BA then be able to develop requirements, use case analysis, etc. which will correctly drive the software developers. Note this position sits with the software developers - and keep in mind BA experience must include large and complex applications which indeed reach out and touch others within the enterprise.
Part of the interviewing process will require an applicant to provide documentation such as requirements documents, functional specs, technical specs, test plans, etc. although of course any confidential information should be removed. Obviously this calls for heavy in-depth analysis skills.

Summary
This is a senior level BA with a technical background and strong analytical skills. Candidate will be a responsible for doing in-depth business and system requirements on projects involving a studio broadcast operations business area and the transition to digital media from ingestion to distribution. This analyst will be a core team member of the project from inception to delivery.
Duties include business requirements documentation, business and system impact analysis, requirement prioritization, business area presentations, test plan development and execution.
Primary responsibilities
Lead system requirements gathering
Work collaboratively with project team in doing system impact analysis and project estimation.
Facilitate project initiation and monitor project progress, communicating status to stakeholders
Create project documentation such as requirements documents, technical specifications, diagrams, workflows, etc.
Create and maintain test plans/strategies; coordinate IT system testing and User Acceptance Testing, collect feedback to IT development teams.
Requirements
5+ years of experience gathering business requirements and assessing impact on current application landscape in a commercial business environment
Ability to define project scope and technical specifications, facilitate the collection of technical, operational or business requirements, set milestones to successful completion
Experience in media or broadcast related industry a plus
Experience documenting both business process and system requirements. BPM Experience a plus.
Experience on projects from inception to successful launch (complete solutions / project life cycle)
Must be able to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to project stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service

Experience with software development life cycle and application release management required
Expertise with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint
Experience with Business Objects Reporting tools a plus
Experience using UML (Unified Modeling Language)
Experience in making presentations, with the proven ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively
Project Management experience a plus
