As AbirNet CEO, Kurt introduced a novel intrusion detection product, SessionWall, and drove worldwide growth until the company was acquired by MEMCO (MEMCF), a UNIX server protection, access control and SSO software provider. Within two months of the acquisition by MEMCO, Platinum Technology (PLAT) and MEMCO signed a definitive agreement this resulted in Kurt becoming CEO of MEMCO US and acting GM for Platinum Security Product line directing a team of 455 MEMCO and Platinum folks, driving the security software revenue growth to $150M over the transition period. Upon completion of the MEMCO and Platinum merger, Computer Associates (CA) acquired Platinum.
